Challenge

As a major industrial food production facility, Crown Flour Mill's operations present diverse safety challenges across multiple zones, including the Generator House, Boiler Room, Gas Station, and Chiller Rooftops. The client required a comprehensive, multi-layered safety solution to monitor for a variety of gas hazards—from flammable gases to refrigerant leaks—and centralize these warnings for an efficient response.

Solution

We engineered and supplied the equipment for a large-scale, multi-zone process safety upgrade with a total value of over NGN 39 million. The solution was designed for total site coverage, featuring a network of fixed gas detectors (HS-BH60 and HS-DX401) and specialized refrigerant gas detectors (HS-KG60). All fixed sensors were integrated into three central RS485 8-port Digital Gas Control Panels located in the control rooms, creating a unified command center for site safety. The package also included HS-90A portable detectors for confined space entry and other specialized HSE tools like a HS-VB13A Portable Vibrometer and a HS-NM075 Decibel Meter to equip their on-site teams.

Outcome

Upon installation, Crown Flour Mill is now equipped with one of the most advanced, integrated safety monitoring systems in the industry. The centralized system provides a holistic view of the entire facility's safety status, allowing for faster, more effective emergency response. This comprehensive upgrade significantly mitigates operational risk, protects personnel and critical assets, and ensures the operational continuity of a key player in the food supply chain.
