Challenge

The Tecno Power Solutions industrial plant in Mowe required a robust safety system to protect its personnel and high-value power generation assets. The primary objective was to improve early gas leak detection capabilities and integrate a reliable alert system to ensure immediate response in case of an emergency.

Solution

Horizon Segment delivered a fully integrated and automated safety system. Following a detailed site assessment, our engineers designed a solution that included the supply and installation of five HS-BH6A Fixed Multi-Gas Detectors strategically placed in high-risk zones. These detectors were networked to three Digital Control Panels and three high-decibel Alarm Panel Systems with Sounders, creating a centralized monitoring and alert hub. We managed all aspects of the project, from procurement and cabling to final system commissioning, calibration, and providing hands-on training for plant personnel.

Outcome

Successfully commissioned on August 9, 2025, the new system provides an automated, reliable safety net for the entire facility. The integrated alarm system ensures immediate notification, allowing for rapid response to mitigate any potential incidents. The client formally signed off on the project, acknowledging that all contractual obligations were met to the highest quality standards, enhancing the overall safety and compliance of their Mowe plant.
